Since starting my Web Media course i have been re-introduced to the web and its many wonderful websites. These include such sites as coComment, del.icio.us, and Bloglines.
I've been learning how to use theses websites to their fullest potential by the oh so awesome tutors Julie Starr and Stephen Harlow (brownie points, check!) Ah but you see there’s a problem with these websites......dub dub dummmmmmm!
Every dam one of them requires a freaken Username and Password, and driving me slightly mad.
You see, I know it’s completely logical to have a Username and Password for such things as e-mail and my beloved Bebo. But it’s an entirely different thing when you need a Username and Password for a dozen different websites which you don't even use.
Also it seems every password I create has to be more complex and harder to crack than the last or else I’m told it's to weak. Heck, if I was to type in muscle as a potential password I would be told it's too weak. Bit of a Contradiction don't you think? Muscle is weak?
This leads me to create some super unbreakable password, but ill be dammed if I can remember "supercalafragelisticexpialadocious"!
And then there’s Usernames. Of course I try to use the same username for as many websites as possible. But it seems some idiot has already taken it.
Dam it! Now I have to make a new Username that I might just remember! Grrr.

Yes I suffer from the same announce. One site said I needed letters numbers and both upper and lowercase. I try to keep all my usernames and passwords the same, but it's impossible! i feel your pain.
Take a look at OpenID, I think it might help you maintain your sanity. Put simply, you only need to remember one username and password. Works with Blogger, coComment, WordPress, Flickr and thousands of others.
I feel your pain.
It's especially galling when someone has taken your user name.
As for passwords, I agree with Stephen on checking out OpenID - it looks likely to be a good solution once it catches on more.
In the meantime I have three main passwords, for different kinds of activity. Let's say, for example, one for email accounts, one for random websites, and one for sites that hold my credit card details. All I need to do then is think what kind of site it is and use the corresponding password.
